dufour Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 We both live with parents in average city in England. I can't invite her over for something to eat and a film without getting my Mum and Dad to leave for the evening which would be hard unless I pay for them to stay in a hotel! We've already done the posh resturant date. We've already done the museum visit date. We've already done the outdoor activity date. We've already done the drinks in a bar date. We've already done the road trip to another town date. The things I was thinking about were bowling or the cinema or maybe an outdoor activity followed by the cinema in the evening. We've kissed loads and we have loads of good chemistry but we haven't had sex and we haven't talked about sex yet. I don't want to suggest going away for the night because it'll make me seem like just after one thing when I'm not. It's so difficult!

I haven't done it yet, but I think it would be fun. Do you have another couple or two you could get to do it with you? 1

basil67 Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 (edited) My favourite dates with my husband involved meeting in the city after we'd finished work for the week and getting first bus which came along (in roughly the right direction home) and finding somewhere to eat along the route. Dates don't have to be about impressing with variety. They are simply something to do while the two of you get to know each other. There's nothing wrong with spending Saturday nights in the local cheap and cheerful restaurants. Or the pub. Edited July 3, 2017 by basil67 4
rushed Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Baseball game? Personally I think baseball is boring, but I like sitting outside drinking and eating nachos. Plus you get all that time to talk. Do you have a movie theater that serves alcoholic drinks? That's fun, too. 1

The movie theatres sell alcoholic drinks but there's nothing good on at the moment.
fred123 Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Does sh3 live at home too with parents? Why cant you sleep with her in the car?
angel.eyes Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 (edited) By seven dates in...now probably a month or two of dating, I'm guessing...dates become about personal interests. What do you like to do for fun? How about her? By now you should have learned about what she enjoys doing and her hobbies. Build a date around those things. Edited July 3, 2017 by angel.eyes
CautiouslyOptimistic Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Do you have anything like Painting With a Twist? I don't know if they have those in the UK or not. I've done it several times and it is super fun. Basically it's a BYOB 2 hour group painting class (you think you can't paint, but you can ). Super fun date! I've done it with girlfriends, with my mom for Mother's Day, and on a date, and loved it every time. If they don't have the Painting With a Twist franchise there, they must have something similar.
Maggie4 Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Are you ready to introduce her to your friends? Then you can re-do similar things (restaurant, outdoors, short trip), but with company it will feel different. Might be a lot of fun, and you get to see how she interacts with others. 1

How about the take her to pound town and make her walk funny the next day date? WTF? do people actually count dates past #3 these days? I know i sure don't.

smackie9 Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 It's summer, is there not a nice secluded spot where you lay out a nice blanket some pillows, a bottle of wine, snacks and the look up at the stars?

I know i sure don't. That's a rather crass way of putting things. You did read the part where both the OP & his GF still live at home. They are young so your comment is even more inappropriate. If for no other reason they aren't having sex because they have logistical challenges. dufour: bowling & the movies both sound fine. You can repeat activities. Keep having fun, getting to know each other & enjoying one another's company.
