vadimay Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 We met online were dating 4 months.. the first guy I dated who actually respected me and talked about the future.. stuck with him through bad hours at work and him organising to buy his house .. it was so good in the beginning, he text all the time..we met up once a week for dates.. then I felt like he was drifting away over the last month, suspected he was talking to someone else. The texts drifted off into a trickle, he cancelled dates without making any real effort to rearrange ”we’ll sort something out”. I asked him where he felt we were at on Thursday and he was going about it being a busy time we both had a lot going on and that he wasn’t sure how cost effective it was going to be staying locally with his house 200 odd miles. I said that the distance was not an issue .. I believed him to be living there already when we first started talking .. and that I wouldn’t give a care if he thought I was worth it … eventually responded 36 hours later .. (at 2am which is insanely late for him) basically saying he had a lot on his plate but he planned to stay locally and it wasn’t about me not being worth it or not but his bad experience with long distance but he hasn’t spoken since.. I replied saying that he needed to commutate if thing that affected us were changing, things were only going to play on his mind. That I needed him to say he was in this with me .. that I wasn’t going anywhere .. no reply 36 hours on .. impulsively then text again saying I didn’t mean to add more stress onto his plate, was the last thing I wanted and was he done? No reply 7 hours on .. is he gone?
ExpatInItaly Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Yes, he is gone. You might hear from him again, but I think you can safely assume it won't be to continue the relationship.
preraph Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 He's gone. I'm sorry. You need to find a local guy. Don't waste time on long distance relationships, seriously. If you need to move to a bigger town, then do it, but not for some long distance guy but just for your own self. 1
Author vadimay Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 he lives 16 miles away at the second he was buying the house as we met(which is parents no he were supposed to be living in) .. he did reply and yes he is gone .. giving the 200 miles as the reason and his past relationship long distance experience .. i'm glad he took me out of limbo even though he left me there for 3 days .. i sent a very nice long text back basically saying if he thought like this he shouldn't have got involved with me! and he just gave up because of his past experience and i could have made him happy ... grieving the loss of a friend and a boyfriend today
