dumbfounded Posted May 9, 2001 Posted May 9, 2001 i have been communicating with this girl i met periodically online. i did ask her one time if she wanted to get together and hangout, but she couldnt. since then i have been seriously doubting myself when it comes to asking her...at one time she did say she wanted to hang out, but i just dunno if i should keep trying, or just give up and look at some other option.

People, and especially young women, have seen many reports of horror stories on TV and in the newspaper about meeting people from the Internet. After seeing these, many will flirt but most opt to keep it at that. There are still a lot of people who you can meet and start great relationships with. However, if you're going to look for love online make it a point not to waste your time with people who beat around the bush...and people who live more than 30 minutes away from you. Make that ten minutes if you don't own a car or if the bus service in your town is bad.
