an0nym0us123 Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 A woman I was with for 8 months left me for someone else 2 months ago. She desperately wanted to remain friends. I said no but I might say hi in the future. I told her I loved her she said she didn't know I did as I hadn't told her yet. I also sensed that she might have made a mistake in her last messages but I could be wrong. Anyway I decided to say hi last week after 6 or 7 weeks nc just to say hi. I know I'm not that bothered now. The message was delivered but she has not read it even though she is "online" I'm not blocked or it would not have sent. I'm not that bothered but just wondering why she would not want to say hi? Or even read what I sent? I'm going to delete her in a few days and that will be the end. Just wondering what people think. She probably just doesn't care anymore...

Don't worry if this one doesn't work out watch her run back to u be strong and demand more don't take her back
ExpatInItaly Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 Because she's moved on. She likely doesn't want to disrupt her new relationship by maintaining contact with you. She also doesn't want to give you false hope by reading and responding quickly, because she knows you will probably read into that too much. It's time for you to delete.
allybaba789 Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 She doesn't want to open the potential can of worms.
Blanco Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 I applaud her strong boundaries. She's not available, and she's not going to even flirt with a situation that could create tension within her current relationship. Don't take it personally. 1

She's not available, and she's not going to even flirt with a situation that could create tension within her current relationship. Don't take it personally. Maybe. But she is the one who messaged me 3 days after I said goodbye trying to get me to stay friends. She is also friends with some of her ex's. she asked me to stay friends many times. I said I wouldn't but might say hi in the future. I know this person and I know she did not appear 100% on what she had done. I don't really want her back I really was just saying hi. Maybe she doesn't care maybe she only wanted to be friends to phase me out over a few weeks. Who knows. I'll be deleting her pretty soon.
springy Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 A random "hi" after 7 weeks of silence doesn't require a response. You: Hi Her: Hi ?

Sometimes dumpers insist on being friends to alleviate their guilt for hurting you. 1
