LivingWaterPlease Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 (edited) A friend fixed me up on a blind date with this guy who owned a business she contracted advertising for. He set up a date to meet for lunch. Had never seen each other or photos of each other before the lunch. Was a stormy day and as I walked to the restaurant and was still a ways off from it he was watching me through glass doors, though I didn't know it. I was wearing a dark green wrap dress that blew open all the way to my waist but, of course, didn't realize he (and another guy) were watching. When we got into the restaurant we were seated at a booth across from each other. We hadn't been there ten minutes when a tall blonde slid into the seat next to him. His first reaction was to put his face in his hands and mutter a disgusted "Oh, nooooo..." and possibly an expletive, can't recall. Blonde lady sat there and began to disparage my dress saying, "I have a dress just like that but it's in the back of my closet, I never wear it." My date told her repeatedly to leave but she wouldn't. She just sat there criticizing me and talking nonstop. After awhile she left. He was so embarrassed and I just sat there stunned trying to figure out what was going on. I asked no questions but later learned from my friend the woman was his gf and they'd just broken up; probably so he could date around and I was the first "lucky" girl to have the honor, lol! He and I had another date. He had a very expensive red sports car we went out in. But, there was no chemistry for me though he seemed like a nice guy. Couple years later I learned he married the blonde lady who had crashed our first date! Hahahaha! Good for her, she got her man despite being a jerk! Edited June 28, 2017 by LivingWaterPlease 2

He spent most of the date telling me about a first date from hell with a woman who invited herself to his place for dinner (one a first date) and then wouldn't leave and kept threatening him. He had to call the cops and explain to the laughing dispatcher he was afraid of the woman. 1

He vaped throughout the entire meal and talked nonstop about stereo equipment and computers. He asked me two questions. At the end of the date, he wanted to take a picture of me. I said 'no'. He kept asking and I kept saying 'no'. I asked why do you want a photo of me? He said he wanted to send it to his family to show them that he had had a date. I left. No photo was taken. Another first date story. I met a guy at a restaurant. He ordered fish tacos. Said he always ordered the fish tacos so he could eat half at the restaurant and take half home. Manager of restaurant came by and asked him how his fish tacos were. Then the manager told me "he always orders fish tacos". I responded "so I heard". When I got home, he sent me a text that he would not date me because I had two kids. I responded "you knew before we met for dinner that I had two kids so why did you even meet me?" He said he just wanted to meet me. Weird.

I've had the same thing happen to me both on a date and in a job interview. The guy who met me for the date kept commenting on my choice of toenail polish.
