SUNSHINE143 Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 I need help quickly please! Today is my one year anniversary with the man of my dreams. I have NEVER stayed with someone this long; I get sick of b/s easily. Anyways, he goes to work tonight as soon as I get off work and works 12 hour shift all weekend, so my question is what is something I could get/do for him for our anniversary. We are both broke because all three our our kids (1 mine and 2 his) have birthdays this month, not to mention school starting back. I really won't have any time to spend with him so what would be a good gift? I do plan on making him breakfast in the morning for when he gets home. (at 8:00am) Someone please help, I can't think of a good, meaningful gift for him.
agnf666 Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Happy Anniversary... I wish you the best. I think maybe a special breakfast will do. He knows that you guys don't have alot of money. Plus, food is a great present for a guy. Is there anyone that can watch the kids in the morning for you? So that you two can have some time alone. That would be perfect for you.
Spooon69 Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Unexpected sex. It's free and guys love it more than breakfast.
Author SUNSHINE143 Posted August 5, 2005 Author Posted August 5, 2005 Thanks ya'll. Unfortunately no sex. I had surgery a week ago so that's not an option. Anything else?
SmallWonder Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 I don't know where you live, or what your yard is like, but here's what I did once: In my yard I have a big tree. I pulled the patio table underneath it, poked holes in plastic bottles and hung them from the tree branches after putting candles in them. Covered the table with cloth, set it with my best china. Made dinner (spaghetti - easy and cheap). Cheap bottle of wine. When it got dark and closer to the time he got home, I lit the candles and turned off all the lights in the house so the yard would be dark (and if your kids are in bed it won't matter). Then we had a romantic dinner at home in the front yard. It was fun and a real treat. What else could you do.... If you have a computer, you could do a Mini Book on all the Wonderful Things I love About You. Then tie the pages together with ribbon. It's a nice keepsake and Free. Post little notes throughout the house. If your kids are living with you, involve them by having them draw pictures of what they think love looks like, then you can draw one too and the 4 of you can give them to him as a group. You can cook naked. You might not be able to have sex, but you can be sexy for him. You can clean the house naked, too. Coupons. Those are always fun. Promises of what you will do to him when you're not recovering from surgery.....
Author SUNSHINE143 Posted August 5, 2005 Author Posted August 5, 2005 Thanks Small Wonder, Those were some great ideas. And, we have a huge back yard so the dinner thing may just work.
