If so, this one is for you. I used to struggle with getting guys to commit, which ranged from going only on a couple of dates before things would naturally fall apart, to having “friend with benefits” relationships, to dating a guy who would never show affection around anybody we knew. It sucked. But there is something good that came out. I learned how to set boundaries and not fall for guys who are unavailable and won’t treat me right. So how did I do that? Number 1, I committed to not getting involved with anyone who is not looking for a long term relationship. That helped to filter out all the guys who seem so charming in the moment and a loss down the line. Number 2, I learned to take time for myself and enjoying doing things on my own. This really helped to find my center and feel grounded without having a boyfriend. And I’m pleased to say that my strategy worked I’ve been in a committed relationship for almost 2 years now. 1
