smile Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Ok so I am newly single and I am so confused by this boy girl flirty stuff. According to my friends I am just completely oblivious when a guy is hitting on me. I have always been one of the guys so when I get attention it just seems normal to me. So I met this guy and he is adorable. So sweet and funny. And he has said little things here and there and I cant tell if its flirty stuff or just whatever. Anyway so he came over and him and my roomate were going out to lunch. I was there and happened to meet him and he asked me if I wanted to go so I said ok. Then he sat next to me in the backseat , and next to me at the resturaunt. He started asking me if I spoke spanish and when I said a little bit (in spanish of course) he smiled and said "thats cute". So then we go back to my apt and he asks what I do for a living so I tell him I work with autistic kids. We watched tv and he was changing the channel and passed a movie I liked , an old movie and I was all girly and awwwing about it and he said "I tried to watch old movies but I cant get into them alone. I think maybe if I watched one with somebody it would be better" to which I replied "i prefer to watch movies alone I hate it when ppl talk thru them " , i was later told by my roomate that was the wrong answer. Anyway so the next night he came over to hang out and I walked outside to talk to my roomate who was smoking. After a bit he came outside and I know he doesnt smoke. But I was going in as he was going out. Then we sat on the couch and he asked me if I knew sign language bc he read that kids with autism sometimes use sign. And I said yes I do and he signed "thank you" to me. Then I showed him some other signs and I was thinking how cute he really seems interested in sign language. So is he kinda flirting with me or am I just reading too much? What do I do if I want it to be flirting? I am such a spaz bc as soon as my roomate suggested he was flirting I started avoiding eye contact with him. Dumb I know. Oh yeh and when we were hanging out this song came on and he said "oh man I remember waiting for that cd . I was 15 that year. How old were you?" . And I was thinking why does it matter how old I am?
