travelgirl3 Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 I went out on a first date with a guy yesterday. He's actually a coworker but in a different department. At the end of the date he hugged me and said to let him know if I want to hang out again. I'm so used to a guy getting in touch with me after a date..doing the chase. Do you think he's into me? Maybe I'm just overthinking this
d0nnivain Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 You are over thinking this. He's looking to make sure you are into him too. Just reach out.
Bastile Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 I don't consider that acceptable. A hug, and "get in touch if you want to hangout again"? No. Let him get in touch. Cheeky git Seriously, that is proper wishy-washy nonsense. Either low-interest or low-testosterone. Either way, you shouldn't be initiating with this guy, imo. 2
Author travelgirl3 Posted June 14, 2017 Author Posted June 14, 2017 Well, he messaged me over our work messaging system this morning so I guess he is more interested than I thought. 2
kendahke Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Well, he messaged me over our work messaging system this morning so I guess he is more interested than I thought. Then instead of talking to us, you need to be making a second date with him... time and place--no nebulous mess, either. 2
normal person Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 He's probably just trying to save face in the event that you didn't like him, or not put pressure on you to hang out again and put you in an uncomfortable spot if you didn't. Yes, traditionally it's his role to see if you want to go out again, and he sort of shirked it. If it bothers you that much, fair enough, you don't have to go out with him again. If you do, ok, he's giving you the opportunity.
