knockout33 Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Last year I was diagnosed with glaucoma. I've been treating it with drops. But everytime I go to my eye doctor, Im scared. I haven't been 100% myself since last year. The thought of not being able to see is really bad. At 32 now I know myself and that. I have self love and self acceptance. I finally got all that after so many years and now this?? My emotions are up and down a lot because now this is the second time I have to change eye drops for the pressure. Does anyone know much about this? And if I should be as worried?
Gaeta Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 You should ask your doctor for more information. My boss and my father are being treated for glaucoma for YEARS. The drops is to stop the illness from progressing as I understand it. Did your doctor say your glaucoma was advanced? Are you diabetic?
Author knockout33 Posted June 6, 2017 Author Posted June 6, 2017 Hey, I don't think it's advanced although he didn't say. Im not diabetic no.
preraph Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 I think if you read this link it will give you hope: The Glaucoma Foundation. Looks like it can be treated with laser surgery and other ways. https://www.glaucomafoundation.org/treating_glaucoma.htm
