JennaJulia Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 I am working with a really nice guy. Who is also my boss's son.... (i know) I soon started to notice how nice he is with me. It started slowly but it's been almost a year that I worked there. He started to bring me starbucks sometimes or a little treat like donuts or paying my lunch (happened once but that was appreciated). He talk to me as soon as he walks near my office. He is most of the time always smiling at me when he talks to me, or even when he does not say a word, always smiling at me. Often preparing coffee (even cappuccino) for me. I am also working as a travel agent and sometimes he text me to have some information about an hotel or a trip coming up but rarely text me only to talk about everything and nothing... He did not compliment me yet on nothing but he always like to tease me and do it often. He recently invite me to join him for a race and since it was far from where we lived he told me that i could sleep at his uncle's house and that i "would have my own room"... i declined since i had other plans and he managed to find another race and even purchased our ticket and put them on my desk while saying "that way you won't decline this time". Next thing i know he invited one of our colleague (his father's friend) and his wife (i know them both) to the race too and then after that we all will go take a drink together. I started to think that maybe he was interested in me but sometimes he act distant... we also are friends on facebook and instagram and even if he likes other girl's pics he never like mines nor my post on facebook. Last week he was talking about looking hot girls while doing his morning run with a colleague but when the colleague left, he told me with a weird voice: you probably are looking men a lot too aren't you?? I really don't know what to think or do.... am i imagining all that or do you guys think he might be interested ? If so... why do we rarely speak outside the office beside texting ? What should i do about him acting distant sometimes?

Is he doing all that only to have great colleague relationship? You know i'm pretty sure his father already knows about him inviting me to the race and it doesn't seems to be a problem since he is talking about this to me almost every day since he purchased the tickets.

I am afraid this will lead to your demise at work, so unless you are really really undeniably keen on him enough to risk your job for him, start just being professional with him and make it clear you don't mess around with people from work and like him as a friend.
