Few years ago I worked at the restaurant saving money for my university. There was a guy who was a regular customer and even though I knew that liked me, he never really asked me out. Fast forward, I am now in school and stopped working at that place long time ago. I recently joined OLD, and he recognized me and we talked a bit (he just wanted to confirm it was me and told me he had a big crush on me few years ago). That was it, we never spoke again till three days ago when he contacted me again and asked for my number.

We texted for hours yesterday and he told me how much he liked me. He mentioned he used to drive more than 30 miles just to have lunch at the place where I worked so he could see me. Also, his texts were long while I was responding with one sentence or so (I was at work).

Then, he finally asked if I wanted to go out with him and suggested few fun activities that we could do. I explained I am very busy (due to work and school) and that maybe we should do something more simple, that is not so time consuming (dinner, coffee). He said he preferred something more active because he would feel less nervous around me.

To cut the story short, we agreed to go out tonight but he was supposed to text me during the day and confirm he was free.

Never heard from him today. Do I contact him?

Yes, but call him. Texts are iffy. They don't always get delivered.

I don't mind texting him (don't feel comfortable calling) but he said he would let me know. And finished the conversation with talk to you tomorrow.

Again, I don't mind reaching out but he asked me out and HE had to double check his schedule.

And he may have sent you a text and is waiting on you to answer. That happens to me and others I know all the time.

I texted that I was expecting to hear from him today and that it wasn't nice at all that he left me hanging. No response
