NeoIQ Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 I have no control over my cat peeing on the rug, the price of gas, traffic, the weather, my kids falling down and getting hurt, the dog chasing the cat, whether my girlfriend comes home or not, my daughters first broken heart, losing signal on the cell during an important call, all those people that are shopping at walmart at the same time as me, my sons first broken heart, the dog taking a dump in the dinning room just because, getting booted from aol, those stupid error messages my computer tells me, that guy at the store that you just can't understand what he's saying, the morron who drives the wrong way on a one way street, and many many other situations. I may not have control over much. But I do have control over myself, my thoughts, my reactions, my emotions, my temper, and how I act, handle, or approach everyone of those situations. I may not be able to control the color of my grass cause it's so hot, but I can control my thought pattern and say, fall is around the corner, it'll be green again.
caring guy Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 & that i think is what we need to do to make sure these second chances work, control what we can & need to!
A Fly onThe Wall Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Indeed Control is such a sought out item.. Remember that You are responsible for what you do and say and They are responsible for how they react to it. That leaves the control issue in your court entirely.. and keeps it out of their court. You win
caring guy Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Yes & hoping that when the ball is in our court, we do the right things with it to win the point over & make their reaction beneficial to us looking for 2nd chances.
