So I've been with the same woman for close to 4 years now. We're both in our early to mid 20s and it was kinda funny but we both met in our apartment complex when we used to live at home with our parents when we were going to college. She was an extremely shy girl who used to whisper hi to me everyday when I was going to get mail or head to the gym and she would walk her small yorkshire terrier, but I didn't notice for the longest time because of how quiet she was. One day I did notice and I said hi back, and I heard her whisper back "finally he says hi." I was a little embarrassed that I didn't notice, but I began to say hi every day to her and she began to smile more and more. One day when I was working out at the apartment gym, she came in and it was just the two of us and I began talking to her. She was smiling but didn't say anything back so I was kinda scared she wasn't interested until she grabbed my hand and wrote her number on it. I decided text her later that week and got a date planned and began heavily dating ever since.

A year later I found out from her friends that she was extremely picky, and had rejected quite a few guys during her teens and before she met me. It was kinda funny but when her friends met me they were surprised because I'm not a goth. I'm naturally tanned because I'm part Mexican, and when most people meet me, they assume I'm into Rap, when in reality I'm into Classic and Alternative Rock. So when people see us walking holding hands, they think we're almost a mismatch, and on top of that I'm kinda a gym rat that has an entirely different fashion than she does. Anyways, everything is perfect, I got her talking a lot and opening up more and more, things in the bedroom are fantastic, we've been living together now for about year, I got her to view her body image much more positively (she's very thin but busty and because of it can't wear a lot of the smaller things her friends wear and thinks she's ugly) and we've grown very close, and the only thing I see that needs working on is when I give her gifts. She's never shown excitement when I give her something at all. I get smiles, but that's it. I've never gotten complaints and she buys me things too, but at least I show more gratitude than she does. So I'm not sure if that's her way of showing excitement, or what, but I'd like to give her something that she would really appreciate. So I wanted to see if anyone on here knows Goth Fashion really well that I could either give or make something that would really make her go "wow." That would be fantastic! I'd love to see her really smile and get very excited over this for once. Thanks!

I'm not usually one for gifts much either.

However, my favourite gifts that come to mind which I've received from women cost pretty much nothing. The type that I appreciated more and more with time.

For example:

Years back I went out with a quite crazy girl who was into the London goth scene (I like goth girls too ;)). She gave me a memory stick full of songs that she thought I'd like. Weird stuff that was playing in some of the clubs. Still in my different playlists now.

Another was last year. I was going out with an art teacher who made me a really cool sketch, even asking for my preferences, but based on her vision of my nature. Awesome, and although we don't see each other now, I have it up in my place.

Think in these terms, and I think you'll be onto a winner. Don't think in terms of immediate wow factor, imo.

I have no idea of your budget, so I'm just thinking of random stuff

*A book about Victorian post mortem photography

*A black corset from a reputable seller. (not cheap, horrible eBay stuff)

*Something steampunk

*Knee high Docs

*The TV series Penny Dreadful

*A long, black lace dress

*Gothic fiction book

*Harold and Maude movie

*Godeys Fashions (Victorian era clothing) colouring book

*Demonia brand shoes

*Black leather utility belt (great for clubbing!)

*Do you have any good sized Necropolis near you? Buy her a tour

*Find an online goth store and buy her a necklace or ring from there

*Antique mourning jewellery.

And take her for a picnic lunch in a graveyard.
