I’m a junior in high school and I’ve been on a few dates with a senior. A friend told me that he likes me and told him that I like him. However, he hasn’t made a move to ask me out since then. He graduates next week and I can’t decide if I should ask him out to see if there’s potential for a relationship there. I asked him out once before and he said yes and we had a good time but that was a few weeks ago and we haven’t talked much since. Should I ask him out again or should I wait for him to make a move? If neither of us makes a move, we probably won’t see each other for a long time, if at all.

Do not ask him out again. As he graduates & prepares to head off to college, he doesn't want a GF back home. Sorry.

First of all, the fact that you're getting information from outside sources, friends of friends, to find out he "likes you," after you've been out on a few dates, is wrong. The two of you should be communicating this to each other, in person, not collecting information from each other's friends, but you're not really going out or communicating at all, so red flag there - he's not that into you.

And it's high school with a guy moving on and graduating. Is he going to college? He may not want to pursue anything long-term or serious right now. If he did, he would be more forthcoming in making sure he had dates with you and has time with you. I'm assuming he knows how to contact you, given you've been out a few times. The resources are there. He's not using them.

Take the hint. I know it hurts. Don't ask him out again.

Good on you for initialing a date, but now it's his turn to step up.

IMO when a man doesn't contact you that's because he doesn't want to. Just move on, there will be plenty of guys to meet down at the beach this summer.

Take it from an old gal....always keep your options open.
