Bastile Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 Eh, it's just online dating. Guy wouldn't act the same way with a woman he met in real-life. Hence his lack of social intelligence. Currently, you are just someone on a screen to him. He hasn't connected with you as a real person, yet. Basically, he's an idiot. And yeah, it's a red-flag. Guy is likely a social misfit - or at least will act as such around you. 1
Author rainrhonda Posted May 17, 2017 Author Posted May 17, 2017 What I do understand is that OLD adds a step to the dating process that didn't used to exist. Before OLD, we randomly met in person, and get asked out, whatever. OLD adds the stranger factor to get past... So now there are certain expectations in how a stranger should act before the actual meeting. This can be confusing and such. However it should be common sense not to mention physical contact before a real life meeting has taken place. To me that equals asking about sex on the 1st date = moving too quickly.
mortensorchid Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 It makes me wonder if I meet him that he would be too touchy/feely right away. The more appropriate thing to say is maybe "can I meet you soon?".... But hug/kiss soon? That is a strange thing to ask a person you don't know well yet. Oh if the guy TOUCHES you outside of a handshake when you first meet, and a simple hug good-bye, he reeks of desperation and creepiness. Eliminate immediately.

Eliminate immediately. I have, lol. Last night texted that I'm longer interested, also expressed that I thought his comment was inappropriate. Then blocked him. 1
