GeorgiaOnMyMind Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 How soon is to soon to meet up with someone that you meet online? I have had a personals add up for months and i finally got a few bites. I have been talking to this guy for 4 weeks now and we want to meet in person. We have been hitting it off since we started chatting. Is it too soon? Help!

We all tend to act (or at least seem) different through emails and/or instant messages that we are in person. I'd hate to spend months typing messages to someone only to find somehow we don't click in the flesh. Instead of going on a complete "date" evening, just meet up for coffee, ice cream, etc. for 45 minutes max. Then you can see how things click in person and take it from there. I'd say 4 weeks is plenty, you should meet. Get it over with, I say.

I alway's try and meet as early as you figure out that there is somesort of a connection thru e-mail.. Normaly in the first few e-mails or the first week.. I have spent weeks emailing someone before and talking to them on the phone for weeks just to find out that she wasn't 2nd date material after we met.. What a waste of time ....

francis Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 i agree, meet asap because its pretty much fantasy until you get to know whether the real life chemistry thing is there... dont get your hopes up too high until you actually meet in person... take the online thing as just a way of having met...your relationship actually begins after you bring it to real face to face contact...
