Hi everyone

My boyfriend dumped me today by phone. He said that lately our age difference (me 41, he is 58) was something he couldn't deal with anymore, the pressure to keep up when he got older was too much. So I respectfully said ok the problem is I have his dog. He will be moving to Texas at the end of June but sent the dog before he moves to make the transition of moving easier. He also has a few pieces of my furniture that I left when I moved here. The thing is after this I don't want to see him. I am upset that I took him back after he dumped me pretty much two years go this month . I don't know if to just tell him to try and sell my things and regarding the dog well I m not sure how to handle it. I just want to move on and I can't because of those two issues, it's like I have to 'wait' to move on until that is taken care of . I don't know. Any advice is appreciated :(

Does he happen to have any friends or family nearby that can take the dog until he gets there? Can you take it back to him? Unfortunately it seems like you will have to see him at least once more to transfer the pup. As for your things, if they aren't important to you, you could ask him to dispose of it for you.

Yeah I think you are correct. Unfortunately no he is leaving family and moving here for work.

If you haven't made an agreement then get the dog to him or put the dog in a kennel and have the bill sent to him.

The furniture.. hummmm...

Maybe you should have him exchange the furniture for the dog, the dog is HIS property and responsibility to deal with and take care of

Did you happen to discuss this with him at all, when he broke up? I would try to settle this asap, rather than wait it out. He needs to take the dog back very, very soon. Sorry.

He just said he would be picking up the dog when he arrives in June and bring my furniture. I couldn't put the dog in a kennel...I love that doggie :(

I think unfortunately I have to wait until he comes for the dog and brings my stuff. What a crappy situation
