dcloud
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. I'm at a loss myself, since most typical gifts wouldn't suit my folks. They've been married a long time, but its not the greatest "romantic" realtionship in the world. They are still together mainly because neither of them wanted the trouble of going it alone. They've gotten used to their situation. Yeah, I know it doesn't sound great, but they are my folks and I would like to do something nice for this occassion. Thanks. - dc
NYCmitch25
Good question, my parents 50th is comming up real soon and I have no clue myself. Mainly because they aren't into material items and anything they need they have already bought. I guess for the 50th you are supposed to get something "gold" like golden era, but my dad thinks females wear jewlery not men... and I agree. Only you could answer what they would find "fitting" but I'm sure they would appreciate the effort. Perhaps if you have sibilings you can pony up 2 large for a nice cruise (provided they aren't at each others throats) or perhaps a weekend getaway with the full royal treatment. You could even go low-budget and get them small items like a gift-cert. for their favorite resturants, make up a fancy card illustrating all the positive things they have done to make you who you are today (even if you feel like you did it all your self.. )... my 2 cents
