Does anyone know how reliable the "Last online" thing is???

I just recently started dating a woman who I am mad about but when I returned to suspend my profile (out of respect) I could see her time stamp as being on the site "Within the last 24 hrs"

So, if this is the case then it is a bit disappointing to say the least.

Thanks for any insight

How long have you been dating her?

Unless you have spoken about exclusivity and removing each other off of OLD, she's allowed to still date and see other people. I know it is disappointing but you could communicate with her and mention your interest and your want to take it to the next level.

Just because you feel the need to suspend your account, it doesn't mean she has to do the same. It would be best for you to convey how you feel and go from there rather than create an expectation.

OP: also, before jumping to too many conclusions the Match last online thing is crazy easy to trigger. I've heard it said that just opening that here are your daily matches email can trigger it.

I am going to reiterate what the previous poster has stated (and I know this to be factual from my own experience not logging into the site, but showing up as active) that if you even open an email that Match has sent you, it indicates you've been active.

That said, while I understand your disappointment, it seems you haven't had a discussion about exclusivity. If you'd like her to date only you, I say have the talk with her and go for it! :)

Good luck!

yes.... good point Zahara. I guess I need to just man up and recognize that we are both still "single" because we haven't been seeing each other that long.

Thanks

With some of those apps, if you never log off of the app, everytime you pick up your phone, it shows you being online. X-ing out of the app is not logging off the app.

With ma5ch...

The last online is triggered when you view a match email and not even log in.

As far as her...talk about exclusivity and turning off online profiles.
