FortyandForlorn Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 I really appreciate this board! It's been so helpful for me as I get out of an EA and start taking my marriage more seriously. I started IC recently and I'm working hard to not talk to the guy. We work in the same building, on the same floor, so we sometimes run into each other. I'm starting to be more proactive in making sure that doesn't happen. Staying in touch with this board helps me when I'm feeling particularly emotional. My marriage is slightly better. We had a pretty terrible thing happen at the end of last year, but since the, we have better communication, but it's a slow recovery because he refuses to go to MC. My goal is for us to be madly in love, like the good old days, by our 10 year wedding anniversary, which is in the fall. That's all I wanted to say. You guys are the best! 1
aileD Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Glad things are going well for you!!! Is your H willing to do any work on the marriage? There are tons of things online for marriage and relationship building where you can go at your own pace and not have to tell everything to a counselor. We are doing this right now and it's awesome. Author FortyandForlorn Posted May 3, 2017 Author Posted May 3, 2017 No, my husband has no interest in counselling of any form - he won't even read a book about it. I'm trying to remain hopeful because I do see that he is trying to listen more and help out around the house.
