Tressugar Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I was told, post interview and tentative job offer, that "HR will contact you." Does anyone know how long does it take for HR to contact the candidate?
SoleMate Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Anywhere from 5 minutes to 1+ years. Highly variable.
Author Tressugar Posted April 27, 2017 Author Posted April 27, 2017 (edited) Thanks for your response. Gawd I hope not that long. Edited April 27, 2017 by Tressugar
ChatroomHero Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Thanks for your response. Gawd I hope not that long. If you don't hear in about a week, give them a follow up call and ask if there is any news. If they blow you off, not a good sign, but they might give you a time frame. They might have other candidates they are looking at over the next week or two, but after a couple of weeks if you don't hear anything that is a pretty good indicator it is on hold or they went a different direction. 1
ChanSummary Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 You must be flexible and assume that HR will say that because they're job is to find who are the best. Keep applying for a job and have note for possible questions for you to be consistent.
Author Tressugar Posted April 30, 2017 Author Posted April 30, 2017 Still haven't heard back from HR. I forgot they're conducting a criminal background check on me. And working for DOJ before those can take awhile. I think I'll hear them by the end of this week.
h57zf Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Anywhere from 5 minutes to 1+ years. Highly variable. In my experience it's anywhere from 5 minutes to approximately never. Usually I know when it's never though, when they've given me impossibly difficult tasks/questions in-interview.
