Hello ladys & gentleman,

I would love to know how this is possible and would like to get your thoughts on this. How come whenever i go to Dublin but i am from Holland.. girls are flirting with me like crazy.. when i walk on the streets 6 out of 10 would wink, smile.. and flirt with me? I am always the same.. smiling, happy, average looking.. black hair, chestnut color eyes, 5.11/1.80 tall, i workout on a regular base.. dress nice and smell nice. I do look a little bit Spanish/Italian.

There was this girl standing at the entrance of the shopping center.. wearing legging super tight leggings i just looked for a second.. because she had a really really nice ass.. but not staring like a creep.. and guess what? She was smiling at me.. i was LIKE HUH? couldn't believe the don't mind it at all.

For example in Holland.. from 10 girls maybe 1 would look at me.. and the would get mad if you just look at them.. or turn there heads.

Am i doing something wrong.. because i don't understand how come girls in Ireland LIKE me more.. compared to the country where i am at.

Would love to hear it from you ladys!

Because you are foreign looking.....not pale and red headed. Maybe they are more tolerant towards ethnic looking men.

It probably is because you appear to be a tourist, but you never know. I'm in Texas and when I was young, most men here were stuck up and expected women to crawl all over them. But then when I spent some time in L.A., I had guys just walking up to me on the street near the band venues (where we'd all kind of look like we're from the same tribe) just being friendly, not even pick-upy, just interested and friendly.

I really kind of do think that if you find your niche somewhere, why not move there and try it. I had to move from a smaller town to a bigger town to even find "my people" when younger and went from unpopular to really popular simply because I found my niche.

Now, my old flame is a big traveler and he has told me some places the women are just real open and relaxed with how they look and with men looking at them and that sort of thing instead of being defensive about it. So that may be all that is going on. It doesn't necessarily mean they would accept if you asked them out though. Still, a change of scenery can't hurt if you can afford a big move.

Besides what the previous posters already said, maybe it's also about your height. In Holland 5.11 is considered slightly below average, even "short" to some, while in other countries people would probably view you as a tall guy.

You know, I've traveled a bit too and I almost ended up thinking I was more of a stud abroad than in my own country.

The reasons?

- Accents are charming.

- You get out more than you do at home, assuming you always hang out to the same places over and over again.

- Usually neither men or women are naive enough to believe in something long-term while you are visiting as a tourist, casual hook-ups are fairly easy, assuming you are decent looking and a little bit extroverted or have social skills.

This is or was one of my main reason for traveling. A kiss here and there, some good memories, along with having a good times visiting the places and landscapes.

Traveling is fatal to bigotry, prejudices and narrow-mindedness once stated a notorious writer.

And most importantly, you tend to be in an adventurous mood and nobody at home will know if you make a fool out of yourself.

When I travel overseas mostly on the islands people in general are just nicer. It's just a better vibe than what I find here in the states. I have been to Bermuda a few times and people are just different in a good way. I have never been there as a single man but I imagine dating and flirting are also better.
