spiderowl Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 (edited) ... when I said I would be his friend. Later, when he met someone, I found I could not continue to be a best friend. I feel very guilty about this. It was an online friendship which did not progress though at one point it looked as if it would. It didn't because of decisions he made. Is there a way not to feel guilty? He is not a bad person and I miss him very much. Edited April 20, 2017 by spiderowl

Author spiderowl Posted April 20, 2017 Author Posted April 20, 2017 Do you feel guilty that you can no longer be his friend? Yes, he wants me to be his friend.
Ronnys93 Posted April 21, 2017 Posted April 21, 2017 Don't feel guilty. If you want maybe you can be there in the distance. Just don't involve yourself or become the emotional rag for this person. Enjoy their conversations but unfortunately the hard part is that you can't think of them as your potential lover.
