Do girls always cancel the first date?

The times that I have had a flake or stand up have been on the part of the man not me. Maybe that's just me.

Are you staying in touch after you set up the date? If there's nothing but radio silence, most will assume you've lost interest and moved on. They will follow suit and do the same. What exactly are you doing in the lead up to the date?

I've only been flaked on a few times. If it happens once and they immediately reschedule then it may be a real situation. But if it's reoccurring or they don't counter then it's her way of saying she's not wanting to go on the date IME.

Maybe you are spending too much time "getting to know" before meeting; also I don't agree with you asking her what her ideal first date is. You may be setting up some sense of expectations and making too much of a deal over a first meeting. It sounds like you are ready to start dating right off the bat, and that might give some women pause.

 

Try being more casual and after a couple of exchanges, tell her you'd like to meet, can she be wherever at whatever time? If she can't, she should offer an alternative. If she doesn't, she's probably not interested.

 

The first meet is just that - a meeting, to see if further interest is there. Save the special first date for when you and the lady both know you want to see more of each other. Not a penis pic though. Not that much more.

I would ask them out sooner. Usually I do within ten messages, even as soon as the second message one time, and she surprised me and actually showed up.

 

Of course for some the conversation really takes off abd I can't help but keep talking for a while.

 

I don't ask for their number until we meet, because before that we are still strangers and there isn't a need for lots of chit chat before meeting anyway.
