well, my senior year in high school i was with this guy- we had unbelievable chemistry and to this day- 3 years later- he still crosses my mind... like if we would be still together, etc...

he went w/ me to my prom, we were best friends, everything then was perfect.

my family decided to move to FL 3 days after graduation. We had to break up.

He visited me 2 weeks after i moved there, then little by little, we started going our on ways b/c he thought I was never coming back..

1 year later, i move back and he's in a new relationship.

He's been with her sinse, we only hung out once, and seen each other maybe 4 times total.

The times I did see him, it looked like he missed me but never would talk to me. I know he loves his girlfriend now and I dont want to ruin anything.

He saw my friend and her b/f at this resturant recently and told them he was thinking of proposing to her... i was kind of hurt and shocked at the same time...

should i email him and say congrats and wish him the best?! he probably wont reply but atleast he knows i have no hard feelings against him.. or should i not do anything?!

advice?!!!! ...

I wouldn't send an email unless you know that he in fact did propose to her.

and then you need to come across as really truly wishing him the best..If you can't then don't send him an email

What else can you do to but congratulate him. He's in a happy relationship and so are you. If and when he does propose, be happy and of course congratulate him on his joyous night!

I agree with Fly. Don't do a thing until you hear that he has officially proposed. Then congratulate him and move on. Remember the great memories you had with him and leave it in the past. If he wanted to spend his life with you he would take the initiative to pursue you.

When you find out he DID propose, congratulate them both. You sound happy for your ex, enough that you mentioned you wouldn't want to jepordize his current relationship. So, try to keep those thoughts in your mind- briefly- then try not to think too much about it after! :o
