I wouldn't change your job just to meet guys, but exploring the possibility of attending different clubs/volunteer activities/hobbies would be a good idea.

But what does that even mean

Your best place to meet a guy is right there around campus, just not at frat parties. See what's going on at bars near campus during the day, play pool, that type thing. Go to local gigs. Take the subway and go to eat pizza at Balducci's. Even if you don't meet a man, you won't be sorry. Before concerts on the bay, go to a nearby bar before or after to meet other people who like the same music you do. Boston often has street fairs. Don't miss those. And the park is popular there, since it's kind of the only green place, I guess. Go to the shore. Walk the piers, eat seafood at the shore. Lots of men are required to run a port, but they are from all over the world, not necessarily local. There's a mariner's school somewhere up there and I have to imagine it's overrun with men getting their seafaring credentials, so check out some places in that area.

You won't find all college guys quite as out of control as frat boys, who basically dare each other to outdebauch the other, so look for campus activities because not all guys are frat guys by a long shot.
