eddpad Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 What are the chances that someone wants to break up with their SO because they want to experience life, university, and just having some fun. One of my friends met a guy in college and quickly broke up with him because of these same reasons. Even though she is sure that he is what she wants for the future and marriage, she wants to be out and have some fun. Have any girls or guys gone out and done this? My recent gf broke up with me two months ago because she wants to be alone and have friends and fun. She is 19 and has been with me for 4 years. So maybe I should stop worrying myself sick over it and jsut believe her. Oh, and one more thing. I was overhearing someone's convo. today about this guy she has been going with recently. I remember her saying how there were no big relationship issues but she stated how she hopes and is scared that she might get bored. In addition to my previous question, what is boring like? Obviously it takes alot besides the initial attraction to last so long with someone, but doesn't every relationship eventually hit a stale spot? My ex's cousins have been together since they were 18 and they are both 30. And everyday for them is the same, work come back home and watch shows and then go to sleep. Weekends they watch a movie, eat somewhere and probably hang out witha friend on friday or saturday.<----I guess that is routine but it cang et alot worse. What's everyone elses' thoughts on this.

In my experience girls between the ages of 18-22 seem most likely to "get bored" or to just get confused and want to see what the rest of the grass is like out there. Women biologically and genetically are always looking for the most suitable mate to raise children with, so essentially, and this is a definite when they are very young......essentially they are trying to upgrade, see if they can get one level better. In my experience they tend to wise up after they blow a pretty good relationship and realize whats left is nice window dressing, but definitely not better nor more suitable.

Now that I am single again I can go out with my friends and go to clubs.. you and your ex as well as my self again haven't had time to go out and experience things.. I tell you once you get over the ex thing its fun to just go out to bars and clubs and hang out and not really have to answer to anyone.. But I still do miss the companionship I had with my ex.. Just go out and have fun.. You are still young !
BLF04 Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 2 months after me and my ex gf got to college she broke up w/ me and dated some other guy for 8 months. I was 19, she was 18. We got back together and dated for 2 years and she broke up w/ me again. I didn't care as much this time, because I want to go out more. I'm now 22 and she's 21. She's now dating some new guy, but I heard she's not over me yet and I'm not over her. I seriously doubt it will ever work again between us, but we'll see. My advice to people who break up and think they may get back together: STAY OUT OF EACH OTHER'S BUSINESS when broken up. Trust me!
