olivetree Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Just wondering if anyone has read any good self-help books for overcoming attachment/developmental trauma? Attachment trauma is basically PTSD but specifically for child abuse and neglect experiences.
Jopes Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I would not self help that kind of trauma. Id seek out progressive behavior therapy, cut and dot therapy nd find positive focuses in life that make you feel good.
Bebe11 Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 A book that might be helpful is The Connected Child by Karyn B. Purvis. I have not read it, but I noticed it had information for children who have been adopted and/or have attachment issues. I hope this helps.
