Wakeboy Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 So my girlfriend is working on a project with all guys. A film project I might add and she spends every Saturday for several hours with them. There are about 7 maybe less I would guess. She urges me that this is a professional only relationship and that everything is business related. So several weeks ago after filming they decided to go to a bar with them. Also I might add that my girlfriend is only 16 years old. She told me it was the only place they had to go and that they just went there for the food. There were no parents around just her and these boys and this entire time she will barley respond to any of my messages and posting them all over social media. I have friends telling me this is super wrong and I don't know how to approach this. Is this something I should be concerned about or should I just let it go?
preraph Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 What kind of a film project? Is this a high school or college thing? Is it porn? I mean, she's only 16. How old are the guys? Do they all go to the same school. Need more info. 1

It's s high school film project and they guys start around 17 and can go up to 19 they do not go to the same school they only know each other from working on similar films before I met her
Jj66 Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 I think it was a mistake blowing up her phone when she was out with them. That will only drive her away. I know it's hard, but try to gain some self-respect and confidence. If she decides she wants to be with one of them there is zilch you can do about it and blowing up her phone makes it even more likely. She's having fun with them while you are being annoying. You don't want to be in that annoying penalty box. Trust 35 years of experience with women. Just have fun when you are together and let her be when she is tied up. You are more likely to keep her heart that way. 1

Her initial reaction will tell you everything you need to know, You have nothing to lose at this point. 3
moebius Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 ask to go with her one of these times. Her initial reaction will tell you everything you need to know... I don't think it will. She could refuse because no one else is taking relatives to the project and she could feel that taking her boyfriend would be awkward. OP: If your girlfriend is sleeping with another guy, it could be one of them or any other guy out there. If they are working on a project chances are she won't be having sex right there. How much time does she need to have sex with someone? Half an hour is more than enough. How many chances do you think she has in a single day? Quite a lot for sure. Your only hope is trusting her. And in the end, if she's a good girl and you ruin her project she will hate you. And if she's a bad girl stopping her from working on it won't prevent her from cheating on you. 1
GemmaUK Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 What are you going to do when you're older and have a girlfriend who works for a living and works at a company where men also work? Blowing up her phone was a bad move - give her space when she is busy/out anywhere You sound very insecure and behaving as you are is the thing that will drive her away - or being accused of cheating may make her go ahead and do it - may as well do what it is you're being falsely accused of after all! 2

You haven't learned what the word "TRUST" means. She working on a film project for school and with all boys. Leave her be. Encourage her be there for her. Get out of this behavior where you think it's wrong for her to be in a solo project with all males. Come on now wake up and grow up about. She with you, not with them in the way you think. Stop it now. Don't go on and on about it. Learn to be a man and respect her so she can finish the project without you interfering about who's she in the project with. She's your girl friend until she tells you otherwise. Have some trust in her first. Are you friends in your face when you see her. Now they might say things they don't like but your dating her so again don't listen to them. Once you bring your friends into the picture you can end up without this girl! Is that price you want to pay? I sure hope not!

I have friends telling me this is super wrong and I don't know how to approach this. Is this something I should be concerned about or should I just let it go? its important to trust your girlfriend in the midst of this important project. one thing to note however is how she responds to your concern. like me personally I wouldn't have given her any lip about the project itself. but if a guy I was exclusive with is saying that he is hanging out with the girls at a bar. knowing me I would be like "cool can I join?". cause its harmless right? well that would have settled your fears immediately if the person you are with welcomes your presence. now say for whatever reason you couldn't go. did you address your concern prior? and if so her not really responding to your messages I would say is a bit inconsiderate. but if you really didn't talk about your concerns prior can you really get mad that she is hanging out with film buddies and not really focused on her phone? so the big takeaway is that she is your girlfriend so trust that she is not being fast lol (less she already gave you a reason not to trust her and if you don't trust her then you have no biz being with her anyway). also be real about your concerns so that she knows how you feel. that way whatever she choose to do after knowing how you feel is the best indicator of whether what she does is okay or not okay. if she didn't know that you had a problem with it in general and you pretend everything was okay and was trying to be the cool boyfriend well you cant hold it against her too much that she hanging out. if you did let her know that you have a problem and she act like she don't care about your feelings than you can evaluate whether this relationship is worth keeping. good luck.
kendahke Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 What would you want us to tell her if she came here complaining about you working on a project with an all female group? Should we tell her that you can't be trusted to know you're in a relationship? Is she the kind of chick who can easily be coaxed away from your relationship and into some other guy's bed? If she is, why are you with someone like that? You don't get a gold star for doing that. She's not with them because she doesn't have anything better to do. She's working on a project with them. They went and got a bite to eat as a team. Nothing wrong with that, even if she does post pictures on her social media--that has nothing to do with anything. Don't make the mistake of projecting onto her what you'd do in the same situation as if she should own it.
smackie9 Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 Meh, deal with it in your own way. This will be a learning experience for you. You youngins will figure it out what is right eventually.
preraph Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 It's a frickin school project. You have no right to stop her from doing that or giving her crap about it. She's going to be around guys all day long in school and that is going to be for the next few years, and you are either going to learn to deal with it or you will force her to leave you. And you're both young, so you won't be together forever and you may as well understand that. Enjoy it while it lasts. 1
