Author Jj66 Posted April 1, 2017 Author Posted April 1, 2017 What is wrong with being a "kept man" or having a "sugar momma"? What is the issue if the woman is the main earner and the man isn't? Objectively, nothing I guess. But one of the ways I value myself is as a provider. IT would be difficult to value myself if she provides all the necessities and my money is only used for "fun" 1

Els Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 This sounded fine at the start, but the more you talk about it the worse it sounds. Frankly the fighting over the bill thing sounds incredibly childish - yes it might be cute/funny on the 3rd date or even the 10th, but after a year??? Ugh, why not just accept graciously and pay the next time if she wants 50/50? And the whole stray cat thing just boggles me further, unless she has a very strange sense of humour. But then again, if YOU didn't find it funny, then it probably wasn't.

Ugh, why not just accept graciously and pay the next time if she wants 50/50? And the whole stray cat thing just boggles me further, unless she has a very strange sense of humour. But then again, if YOU didn't find it funny, then it probably wasn't. I found the stray cat thing funny at first. When she wouldnt let go it stopped being very funny although I knew she was teasing. Last weekend I paid for almost everything. This weekend she paid for almost everything. She said this weekend that she had gone out with men who made more than she does but had never been in a relationship with anyone who made as much let alone more than she did. She was joking about needing to make more than me. She admits it as a goal but denies it's a need. She actually finds the idea of having an equal financial partner refreshing. Looking toward the future, if we buy a house together it probably wouldn't be until 2020 when her beach place will be completely paid for. We would each pay half of that and be responsible for our existing property and debt individually. For ex., she'd keep her beach place which would go to her son. I'd keep [one of my houses] which would go to my kids. Our house together would go to the other. I suggested a life estate and then being divided among all our kids might be a better way to do that.
