Even if the visit is innocent, he can and should respect the fact that it makes you uncomfortable. Meetings with ex's (or individuals of the gender he's oriented toward) can conform to agreed upon standards like 1. always in public/never in private, 2. never after dark, 3. no alcohol or other drugs can be involved, etc. Chances are if he starts abiding by some simple boundaries, your trust in him will grow.

 

This could have been the case IMO if he didn't lie to her about it. Sneaking around and lying means she has no reason to trust him now.

 

I agree with the other poster. He's right in that you can't tell him what to do but you can say that's unacceptable and remove him from your life. Sounds like you're doing the right thing.
