Since FB came up with different options to react to a person's post, things got really confusing.

If my boyfriend LOVES my FB Profile photo (not just LIKE!), does it mean that he implies that he loves me? We haven't said I love yous yet.

And in general, what does it mean when a guy LOVES a girl's FB post/photo?

BTW guy is in mid-30.

Social media doesn't translate to anything substantial. I could put hearts under your picture and kisses emojis and I've never met you. What does it mean? I liked your picture...simple. Doesn't mean he loves you or doesn't love you. If he shows you in real life and tells you, then you can take that at face value.

No need to read any more into this. He thinks that your picture is fantastic! He likes it a lot! That doesn't mean he loves YOU.

But does it make any difference if it comes from a boyfriend to a girlfriend?

Also, why choose LOVE if there is a LIKE option already?

Again, not necessarily an indication that he loves YOU. He likes you a lot and this is consistent between a bf and gf. Until HE says it from HIS own mouth, take it for nothing more.

OP, is he the guy in THIS thread:

http://www.loveshack.org/forums/breaking-up-reconciliation-coping/breaks-breaking-up/610011-should-i-reply-my-ex-s-email-update-how-get-exbf-back

For those who didn't read the above link, OP in the thread posted was trying to get back w her ex. I'm not sure whether she succeeded or not--it was last updated yesterday by OP and doesn't look like it was resolved by then. Hell within 36 hours ago it looks like OP's "boyfriend" is still with his new girlfriend! So who knows what is really going on.

To answer this *ahem* hypothetical question, no it doesn't mean that he loves you, it means that he loves the picture. The picture, OP. Maybe dress like that when you go on dates with him? (If you and he actually get back together or even meet up that is)

Hmmmm ... Perhaps her ex is reacting with hearts to his new girlfriend's photos, and OP is trying to determine whether or not he loves her.

Either way, OP, I think using how a person reacts to a FB photo to analyze their feelings towards the individual is time wasted. It matters how they are with you, in person, and how their actions match their words.

Otherwise, I am in love with a whole bunch of baby animals, cute kids, and stories of good deeds done all over FB.

We will never know what your guy thinks in his head. Love or Like? Which would you prefer? Love is better than like. The word I love you stand outs more than just love or like as friends. I love you would be considered more personal he would be in love with you. So if I guy is feeling love for you then love would be selected instead of like.

Oh no, I just "loved" a pic my buddy posted.

He probably thinks I'm gay now. Dam you Facebook!

You're overthinking the little heart. He likes you, and he likes your pictures. He uses the heart because he's smitten with you.

The problem with stalking the social media of exes and their current partners is that it leads to exercises in futility such as trying to determine the meaning behind the TYPE of "like" a post or photo on FB gets.

The topic at hand is the sort of thing that barely matters when it actually involves you. When it's regarding two other people? Time to re-evaluate how you're spending your time.

How do you know they haven't said "I love you" yet...they have been together for like 4 mo. It is possible l. Don't do this to yourself, OP. He has a gf. Don't get involved. Find a nice guy who wouldbt break up with you.
