I have been seeing this girl (call her Jane) for 6 or so weeks. We have been on several dates, almost all initiated by me. To spare you from reading too much... we have a lot in common! She is on reddit so I don't really want to give too many details on it haha...We have had short and long term relationships with others so we have a gist of what we're looking for in a partner/relationship.

Usually if I I'm not too crazy about a girl (attracted but not relationship material for me) I'll allude to the opportunity to hook up on a first date. But I really like Jane so we took it slower and waited until the fourth date. We've had sex a couple times and it's been awesome. We connect well and everything.

Unfortunately, I guess my biggest problem is my tendency to have anxiety when I really like a girl. I'll start to get more "on-edge" nervous around her and talk too much. I read too much into things when really I am still getting to learn about her way of showing attraction etc. However, I wanted to post here so maybe I could get some other opinions on whether I'm just being anxious/paranoid or if it's justified.

We went out last weekend to a club (first time drinking and dancing together). We didn't have that much to drink but we had a great time. I brought a friend and Jane brought one too. Her friend kept commenting on how cute the two of us were together, etc. Jane wanted to take pictures with me and commented how great of a photo it was.

We went back to her place but when I tried to be a little intimate she said she was tired and went to sleep. I was a little disappointed but understood (I was a little tired too). The next morning I tried again but she said she wasn't a morning person and then wanted to brush her teeth.. so she did that then started cleaning her room; I was again a little disappointed but just brushed it off. She has been texting less (doesn't text while at work anymore, in the morning, etc.) even though she definitely has been on her phone (snap story, work, home etc.). I don't really say anything about it or send another message, I usually just wait for her to respond - she always does- just drastically changed how often.

She also hasn't mentioned a future date since I last saw her. Of all our dates I have been the one to initiate them all, however, she has always accepted them and seemed excited! Yet I sort of feel like if she liked me enough she wouldn't wait again for me to ask and she would take the initiative - am I right or wrong for thinking that?

So knock some sense into me... AM I overthinking it and letting my anxiety getting the best of me? Or is she just losing interest? How should I go about it? I'd be a little disappointed if it's the latter but would rather know now than waste my time talking with someone when it's going to lead nowhere.

tl;dr: Been seeing girl for 6 weeks. Taking longer to respond, wasn't intimate last time I was with her. I like her, but is she losing interest or am I just being paranoid about it?

Since you have initiated every date so far, you should do it again and see how it goes. If she rejects you or if you feel rejected during the date, then something happened.

At 22 you're too young to start this go-round. You could waste your life on dating angst and all the b.s that goes with it. Go in search of a career and focus on goals. Not women
