The Slightest things in life can uplift you. Maybe even from a false hope standpoint, but none the less, good for the moment.

Talked to my daughter Friday, who called to offer me sports tickets that I couldn't

accept due to work obligations.

Then I said to her, "i have an extra ticket to go see a concert tonight. Do you think your mom would go with me?"

She said innocently, "I don't know".

She coulda said "dont even think"...or "NO"...or "i wouldnt count on it".

Funny how that little "i dont know" carried me thru another lonely weekend.

BTW, i didnt call her.

you are right sometimes it's the liitle things that can get you thru it..

On another note .. Asking your daughter if your wife might go with you to a concert is putting her right smack in the middle between you and your wife.

If you wanted to ask someone it should've been your wife.. Your child is alway's going to not take sides in a situation where you ask her to take a side.
