He is 15 years older and He doesn't work at my office because its a private business but whenever he is around he walks me to and from my car , that can just be friendly, but always asks personal questions such as how my mom is , if I'm going for vacation In the summer , where I went today and to let him know about my new coworkers etc keeping tabs when none of my coworkers do this. He also stares at me intensely when we are in the office and moves himself closer.to me. The last couple of times I caught him leering at my body up and down he kept staring uncontrollably even after I caught him. It seemed like a sexual stare checking me out or something. Then I was supposed to sign this company agreement and he says "oh you don't have to meanwhile all the other co workers had to" What does this all mean? I'm not attracted to him

At first I thought he was just being polite, but now he is just being a creepy perv.

How about this...you look over the contract and you ask him that there is no mention of sexual harassment....then ask about their sexual harassment policy with a serious look on your face..

I would be taking it to HR. His behavior is creepy... go above his head.

I will. I also wonder why I wasn't required to sign the paper like all my other coworkers. Does this imply something?

Sadly I cannot quit right away as I need the money but I will start looking for other jobs :( I'm worried

No one is saying quit, but go speak to HR about his behavior, ask them why you were not required to sign a contract like all the other employees.

It implies you're easy to fire.

Go to HR.

What exactly were the papers that everyone else had to sign?

I would inquire to HR why you didnt have to sign. They will talk to him about it and that should be enough of a sign for him to back off.

That's really not a good sign.

You have practically no job security - you really must go to HR about this. You're in a very vulnerable position and this boss of yours knows exactly what he's doing.

So it was obviously intentionally done right? Why would he do that I just don't understand it? Is he up to something

My guess is he intends to start an office romance with you and wants the ability to chuck you in every way possible if it goes sideways on him.

He is a creep.

If you have no contract then you may not even have any leverage with HR at all.

You absolutely need to speak to HR about this and your lack of contract.

Seven shades of wrong going on here.

There'-s nothing to be worried about. Just don't look at him longer than a couple seconds, don't let him walk you to your car, keep your distance and do your work. Don't feed into what he's doing.

Because it means he could flirt with you or harass you, and then fire you with little consequence to him.

Ignore his advances.

Are you going to bring this to the attention of HR?

Sorry but I am still a bit confused how an unsigned contract can benefit him if he tries something? I will report all of this to HR though

If you sign a contract he can't fire you without good cause. If you don't, he can.

And this, I would bring up to HR. Just saying "he stares at me" is entirely unprovable and may just make you look like a hysterical troublemaker. But if there is the paper on file for every single employee but you, that's concrete and surely will at least back up your stating that something is wrong here.

It means he wants to have sex with you. This usually doesn't end well. Stop giving him any encouragment to walk you to your car. Sneak out if you have to. Bust him when he stares at your body. Say professionally"Mr. ____ , you're staring at me. Do you need something?" If he makes a leering comment, say "Excuse me??"

He will be offended if you don't want him back, so you should probably just go ahead and start looking for another job. This is why sexual harassment is so unfair. Even when all they do is stare. It doesn't end well, even if you do sleep with them. So it's very hard to win. I used to use my smart mouth to deflect stuff but I felt sorry for the girls who didn't have that at their disposal.

Thank you all for your help...i hope that is not his intent, he never asked me that or tried to force me to do anything. I just started working at the company.

If you don't want to go to HR, sign the papers and give them to him even though he said not to. Keep a copy for yourself just in case he keeps doing stuff that would escalate it even further.
