If you think an adjustment should be made, talk to an attorney and see if it would be beneficial to do a Petition to Modify Child Support. You can also try to do this through child support services but it's more of a pain in the ass. 1
Miss Peach Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 I've been divorced longer but have yet to do it. In most states it's a calculation. Most courts won't even hear it until it's a certain level of significance (such as 10% more income). In my case we both are making more so it wouldn't really change the end result enough to file for it.
