Bigmess2 Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 I'm back in the dating world. Last night I went out with my coworker, her husband, and her husbands friend for a blind double date. We all had such a fun night! He's got so much going for him and was such a gentleman. All night he's made comments like well definitely do this again. At the end of the night he took my number and texted me asking me if I was home safe and that he had a great time. He told me that if we were alone he would've liked to kiss me and I told him that would've been nice and that maybe if he's lucky thennext time I'd see him he'd get the kiss. He told me he was so happy to have met me and I said the same and then I went to sleep. I haven't heard from him today at all... I know that I could text him I just don't want to come off as too eager or scare him away. What's a normal amount of time after a first date to hear from someone? I'm thinking too much.

Seems you had a great Saturday night together and with the other folks. Wait until tomorrow evening, when he gets home from work, that will give him a nice smile, things are looking very good.

You're definitely like me....an over thinker. Lol. I think I read somewhere that there's a 3 day rule!? The guys in the forum may know. Regardless, I would wait and give it a few days and see if he makes contact. Considering he contacted you after the date, I'd say there's interest there!

For example: Would you be interested in doing XYZ next Saturday evening? -or-When are you free? I was thinking we might do ABC on our next date' Or was it just general "we should do this again?" Again, who messaged last in your previous exchange? What I advise will depend on that.

He's off from work on Sunday and Mondays but I'm not sure what his plans were for today or tomorrow. He just kept being like we are definitely going out again and then in text last night he told me that he's very attracted to me. I had told him that I was going to go to sleep last night and he said sweet dreams miss I'm happy to have met you too. And that was it... so I'm happy that he showed interest there I just thought I'd hear at some point today but maybe I have to wait for that 3 day rule lol I'm going to Mexico in a few days with friends which he knew so there was no talk of the next date being before or after my vacation.
angel.eyes Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 You have two choices. Message him now to get the conversation restarted. Or wait it out and see if he contacts you. There are pros and cons to both options. Since you ended the conversation last night, perhaps reach out, commenting about something you did today and ask him how his day went.
