Damn, did I already screw up my chances?

Ok, so I posted about this girl I met at school already, but I think I might have already managed to screw up. So basically we met the first day of class this semester, and she approached me and we started talking, and I totally fell for her. She is kind of hard to read, but we talk every time we have class together and we have a few classes per day together, so we talk a decent amount. She has a few girlfriends in the class too, so we all end up talking.

Anyway, we usually wait up for each other after class and talk between classes, and we, along with a couple of her friends, usually would walk together to my last class for the day before they all leave. But today, as I was leaving a class I didn't see her, and some other guy in the class started talking to me as we walked out of the class. I didn't see her so I just kept up the conversation and walked to our next class thinking she just headed there.

Well it turns out she was waiting up, but I didn't see her and kind of inadvertently ditched her and didn't see she was following behind. So then we are in our last class together for the day, and when that class was over she kind of quickly got up and didn't wait up, even though we and a couple of her friends generally leave together and talk as they walk to the parking lot and I go to my last class.

So basically, I just want to know if I pissed her off by walking off when she was waiting up, even though it wasn't on purpose, and if I basically just ruined my chances with her.

At this point I am really hating trying to date, haha.

You are allowed to have conversations with other people. She could have easily made her presence known but she didn't

I doubt you pissed her off. You may have disappointed her.

Assuming you have her number, call her and arrange a study date already. Midterms are coming up. Spring break is just around the corner. What are you waiting for summer break when you won't see her? You're not guaranteed to have any classes with her next semester.

Hurry up & make a move already!

If she's so fickle that she'd lose interest because you walked with a mate when you didn't see her, then she's not someone you want to date.

Anyway, is this the 21yo you wrote about recently? Stop messing about and ask her out!

It's difficult when you can't decipher what's going on in someone's head, but it sounds like you're a lovely gentlemen who has treated her very well since the very start. So this mishap shouldn't ruin your chances. You also mention that you speak to her all the time, so I would bring it up the next time you see her in case she did get upset about it.

You're overthinking way too much. It's beyond me you still haven't asked this girl out despite her showing interests in you. Waiting too much will grant you a free ticket to the friendzone so make a move already.

Good point. I guess I didn't think about a study date for whatever reason, but that's a good idea. I guess my main question is would a study date make it obvious I like her, or would it just seem like I want to study and that's it?

But yeah, I do appreciate all of the pushes to act already. I need to get past all the nerves I have before I miss my chance.

Haha, yeah, same girl. Clearly I am way overthinking this and letting nerves get the best of me. I appreciate the push. I'm damn nervous. It will be hard to sit through all of those classes if I get rejected, lol.

Thanks. Do you think it would be weird if I bring it up and she wasn't upset or anything or would it basically just show I care about what she thinks? I guess I just don't want to make it awkward for her.

Damn guys, I get it, I should ask her out already :p I appreciate the encouragement. Def don't want to end up in the friendzone and I agree I need to get on it already and not over think it so much.

It is a chance to actually study. Don't squander the chance to improve your grade.

Yes she will initially interpret it as study only. Do study but be flirty. As you end the study session ask her out.

Never think twice as you can see the end result. She's more important than anyone you have now so treat her that way.

That's a great idea. Didn't even think of approaching it that way. Thanks.

Agreed, thinking twice just seems to be driving me crazy haha. Thanks
