Dis Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Hi Guys! If you didnt read my earlier thread, I got in a pretty bad car accident last Saturday. I got a concussion, 6 stitches in my lip and my jaw was a little displaced but I'm ok! Now I dont remember this because of my concussion but after I crawled out of my car a cop came to help me, he stayed with my until the paramedics came and took me to the hospital I went to the police station the next day because my license was expired at the time of the accident (stupid me, I know ) I asked for to speak to the cop who was filling all the reports for my accident, the same cop who was there with me on the scene...and guess who the cop is??? An old bf from high school! I was so shocked! He was one of the few guys in my high school that was sweet and that I actually liked. We made out in his bedroom and I can still remember the stubble from his beard scratching my face lol. He was a pretty awkward kid back then but he grew up to be a really tall, handsome guy (but not overly handsome, like he thinks hes god's gift to man type of handsome) From the get go I loved his energy....it read...humble, sweet, kind and still maybe a little awkward (he still has a little bit of a lisp) but I thought it was endearing. We talked for a few minutes and I felt draw to him, if I read him correctly he might have felt the same about me. I could tell he wanted to talk to me a bit more and I shouldve been more forward but I was still foggy from the concussion I left the police station thinking about him. I tried to find him on fb to see if he was taken or not but I had no luck. I think cops have to be pretty careful about social media I've always been pretty passive when it comes to dating and showing my interest in guys (initially) and that hasnt gone well for me. I think I want to bake him some cookies and attach a note with my number. I was thinking I could photo copy a pic of my new license (its a good pic of me) and put it in the note because he was joking about how it was expired He was really helpful with my accident and I have such a good feeling about him What do you guys think??? Thanks! 3
d0nnivain Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Go ahead & bring him some cookies (but NOT today, Valentine's Day). Glad you are getting better & the accident wasn't worse. 4

rester Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 I think bringing him cookies is a great idea, especially if you make them yourself. Get well soon. 2

kztar Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Hi Dis, It has been a WHILE since we last spoke through here I guess. I am happy to see you have come a LONG way in a year. Anyways, yes bring the cookies but NOT today. Hope you get well soon! XOXO 1
d0nnivain Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 The cookie thing can be an opportunity. Bring the cookies to the station. Gush about him being a hero. Say he can share the treats with his GF. If he says thanks, leave it be. If he says he doesn't have a GF, grab a cookie, lift an eyebrow flirtatiously or wink, seductively bite the cookie & sash-say away. He's a cop who knows you from HS who has your contact info from the accident report. He can find you. Let him. 1
CaliforniaGirl Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Wait a week or so. I hope you get better quickly. That is so scary. 2

I was just thinking about dropping the cookies off with a note! I really need to be more bold huh?? I dont think they have my number, no one asked me that....and its not publically listed
d0nnivain Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 The note is kinda lame but better then doing nothing. Fortune favors the bold. 2

They can't access info without a good reason and this reason needs to be approved by a superior. Give him your number. 1

I think I want to bake him some cookies and attach a note with my number. As long as this isn't being seen by his superiors as trying to bribe the cop over your expired license, go ahead. Sorry to hear about your accident. I had a concussion from a fall last year and it's no fun. 1
Author Dis Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 The note is kinda lame but better then doing nothing. Fortune favors the bold. Is it lame??? Hmmm..maybe you're right My shyness have never worked in my favor so maybe I just need to go for it But should I bring a note just in case hes not there???
d0nnivain Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 No no no he can't do that. They can't access info without a good reason and this reason needs to be approved by a superior. Give him your number. He wrote the report. I am not advocating that the officer break the law. 1

d0nnivain Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 The note with your # on it is the great back up plan. 1
Shanex Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Cool story. I think you should go back to the police station, and as much as possible discreetly give him home made cookies. You have to be bold and overcome your shyness. It works from my also timid and introverted experience, and personality. Seeing as you're shy, I don't think you'll be the goof yelling inside the police station ''where is that handsome cop who saved my life!!'' Hehe. 1
hippychick3 Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 So sorry to hear about your accident but glad you are okay! I love the note and cookies idea. I say step out of your comfort zone and go for it. I think this would all be a great story to tell one day if anything comes of this 1
Shanex Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 He has a wife and kids fml Gah. Too good to be true. Feel better, D373. Better luck in future. 1
Author Dis Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 Gah. Too good to be true. Feel better, D373. Better luck in future. Thanks Shanex! God the way my mind runs away with me...the past 48hrs I've been thinking of him...I feel like such a moron now lol At least I have a date this Saturday...my only saving grace at this point! 1
Shanex Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Thanks Shanex! God the way my mind runs away with me...the past 48hrs I've been thinking of him...I feel like such a moron now lol At least I have a date this Saturday...my only saving grace at this point! Keep us posted. Moron...? Probably not, I've already been fantasizing about chicks before finding out they were taken for far more than two days. I was also fooling myself, or was it my fragile heart? Nah, Saturday date isn't the last resort before giving up. We all say that. 1

Thanks Shanex..I really appreciate your kind words I do feel like I want to give up I built up such a huge thing about him in my head and now I just feel...ugh!!! If this date doesnt goes well on Saturday I'm going to hide my match profile again and crawl into a hole I know I'm having such a pity party right now and being dramatic, I just have the WORST luck with dating and I'm 30! I'm so tired of this! What am I doing so wrong that I'm 30 and still single? And this guy I have a date with on Saturday is very good looking (too good looking) I dont know if I want to get emotions invloved with a guy like that I will totally regret this post later 1
Shanex Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 And this guy I have a date with on Saturday is very good looking (too good looking) I dont know if I want to get emotions invloved with a guy like that. It's four days away. Having been in this situation, the best you can do is be happy that the cop and former ex was being genuinely kind and wish him well. Now, try to focus on Saturday. Too good looking doesn't mean much. Don't put him on a pedestal because he's handsome, he'll have flaws like everyone. 1
