SevenCity Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Make sure she is absolutely ready to do this. Nothing people on OLDing hate mare than people going there and having a great profile and they are not really looking to date, just get some attention and boost their self-confidence and wasting others time. That is why most get frustrated on there. Oh, by the way. A man would like to see a good full body shot, not just head shots, above the waist or pics that aren't clear. Amazing why so many women on there don't have good pics or only one or a bunch that don't even have them in it. I found out the hard way that when there are no body shots it's likely because she is overweight. 1
Shanex Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 There's a difference between a ''hi'' or ''sup'' guy and I agree with Seven city there. The personalized message as he said were for me three or four liners saying basic yet friendly stuff and I got ignored to not say blocked enough already to get a clue. The right thing is, and if your own profile is good enough: ''Hey I read you liked such and such movie/band/sport and I'd be happy to chat a bit if you want to?'' You cannot spend 20 minutes writing out a lot about yourself to a woman you don't know. That's kinda creepy. 1
Gaeta Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 That's a pointless question.....it's Jean Luke Picard of course! My god we agree on something ! 2
SevenCity Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 My god we agree on something ! Hallelujah! I'm a HUUUGE Star Trek fan (I literally watch all the series on Netflix at bed time and start over when I'm finished several months later for like the past 10+ years) but I purposely keep it out of my profile. I would love to put it in but few women are into it. Worse, there are probably many turned off by it. Same reason I don't list my love of guns and shooting - this can freak a lot of women out especially in NY / NYC. Women get inundated with options so they can be a lot more selective. Ask most guys and they will get a 2-3% return rate on messages. As a guy you want to list fun, women friendly hobbies. No dude is listing their fantasy football league or civil war reenactment passion 1

Reply back if you would like to chat about it!" 1
Dis Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 This is all good stuff and rare as hell. But I would lose "take care of the guy I'm with" because it makes it appear that guys are a commodity to you. It makes me think why aren't these "guys" there anymore? How many of those guys were there? Yuck, no Its in my nature to take care of people...anyone close to me...not just bfs Hence my nursing career 2

Don't tell ANYONE but I got all of the Star Trek series on USB, I have all of their novels, yes there are StarTrek novels AND I used to go to Star Trek Conventions. (No I did not get disguised in Klingon) I got to meet a few star trek actors. Sorry Pop for hijacking your thread. 2

Hot I seriously think I'm going to go to a convention or comicon to see about meeting chicks that I don't have to hide my dirty little secret from lol! 2

Perhaps my hottest sex ever was with a purple space alien chick at Vulcon in New Orleans back in the 1980s. 1

Shanex Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 I like that but the last part sounds a bit whimpy. I would say "Hey I read you liked X. Reply back if you would like to chat about it!" Usually I suggest if you'd like to rather than want to... which come across as a bit of an order indeed. 1
Author Popsicle Posted February 21, 2017 Author Posted February 21, 2017 So as it turns out, my coworker is already on Coffee meets Bagel, but neglected to tell me that. She showed me it, it seems more reasonable than Tinder.
bluefeather Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Coffee meets Bagel? Yet another dating site I've never heard of before. 1
Author Popsicle Posted February 21, 2017 Author Posted February 21, 2017 Coffee meets Bagel? Yet another dating site I've never heard of before. Right?! There are so many. She said it was like the eharmony version of Tinder. 1
