fiskadoro Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Hi, I used to have a coworker who I barely knew and very rarely saw at work, who sent me a friend request. I had flirted with her when I saw her, but there is no way she could have thought we were at all friends. We have no acquaintances in common. She sent me a request, I accepted and messaged her about a vacation she recently took, a short bland fishing expedition on my part. She responded, and I asked her to meet up for a drink. No response. What do I do? I would like to delete her, as we are not friends and I have no idea why she added me and then didn't at least show me the courtesy of a polite "no". #2 - Female acquaintance seems to be into me and requests that I add her to facebook. I refuse three times, telling her I dislike facebook and that the people I often add on facebook then disappear or flake in real life. She admits she just wants to check my page out, so I add her. Now I regret it. I think that I will take the "add friend" button off my facebook page. It NEVER leads to any romance, all I get are a bunch of out of town or unrequited (either inbound or outbound) crushes and attention... "harvesters" who seem to just want the satisfaction of knowing there is one more person in the world who has access to their vacation pictures. And of course, the possibility of increasing their likes.
Fhsjkfjrhsdh3646 Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 You're overthinking it, just go on with your life as usual. Some things work out, some things don't. You don't need to go deleting her or removing the button off your page.
smackie9 Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Delete her. Who cares what she thinks or why she wanted to check out your page. You don't have time for crap like that. You don't have to add people to talk to them. Next time someone tries, just PM them. If they ask about being added just tell them you hardly use FB so there is no point. Just me but, I don't post anything personal on my FB. I will post jokes and random crap. I also keep my photo albums on private. You see there are a lot of wonderful settings you can use on FB to prevent people from looking and sharing your $%^&. Maybe go in there and make some changes.
