First let me just say I accidently signed up for 6 month membership but not paying attention and wish my membership was over. Since signing up in Mid December I have experienced all of the things below

1. Views from women with no profile pic

2. Messages from women with no profile

So looks like the site is a scam and is sending me fake messages to make it seem like the site is active. I have not received one real message at all since mid december and I believe it's because most people now are either are on a free dating app or free dating site.

My membership runs out in June so I figured I will just let it run out and keep my picture since it's already paid for but I still feel like I just threw money in the trash.

Anyone experience this on a pay site?

if it's Ashley Madison or a site like that, women on their are mostly hookers or paid decoys. What they don't tell you is that it's mostly a male membership. Stop wasting your money.

Money is better spent on a dating coach or a real match maker.

What do you mean by a real match maker?

Depends on which one. If it's Match, then you need to go after them. It's rare that anyone you'd be interested in would contact you. I'm not on there any more, but I would get views and messages from women and then within a few hours the account is hidden. Also get them from ones with no pictures, but never from someone with no profile. People do get on there and mess around. One issue with Match is that they keep inactive profiles on there way too long to keep their numbers up. You also can't easily tell who is paid and who isn't and people that don't pay can't reply to you, see if you wonder why someone hasn't looked at a message sent, that's probably why.

I have had situations when I sent a message after multiple views and the person never responds and keeps viewing me:lmao:

There are matchmaker agencies, and solo individuals that physically set you up with potential mates for a fee. They interview you, coach you on what to wear, etc. They set up meet and greets, cocktail parties or they set up dates for you. It's a real paid service. It depends on how serious you are, and if you are willing to put out the cash. If you struggle to find someone that has any potential, it's money well spent because they do most of the work for you.

Well that sounds better than a pay dating site.

I just uploaded a unflattering pic and changed my profile to seeking a imitate encounter since I am no longer taking that site seriously lol

I put up a joke profile once. Something like this...

I am a high-functioning alcoholic unsuitable for a lasting relationship with anyone but Jack Daniels. I still have my license, a well-paying job, and have never been convicted of a crime. Furthermore, ladies, I might just be that elusive man with a pulse and no social diseases that many of you claim to be looking for.

I got a lot of messages, most of them facetious but a surprising number seemed to be legitimate inquiries.

I think that's how you have to be on those sites. Not take them seriously at all and just have fun.

Yep. A lot of people do research and want to put up the best profile and it ends up being boring and plain and more like stuff you'd be asked like an interview. Just too prepared and not real.

Also, just because someone views the profile, doesn't mean they are interested. When searching, I probably clicked on the same person numerous times over the course of days or weeks or may even click on it months later just not remembering if I'd looked at it before. There are also a lot of people married or with girlfriends/boyfriends that are just looking for attention and nothing more. Teasing you and not being serious.

I seem to have the most success on craigslist because women are not looking at tons of photos at one time.
