Pinkbutterfly941 Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Yesterday I got a reimbursement of an over paid bill. I thought at the time we'd paid too much. It was a legal bill. I looked at it as I'd rather pay too much. Turns out it's $600 overpayment. $300 for me, $300 for my ex. We spoke about it when we were together a fortnight ago, and agreed to use it to do something together with it being a good amount of money. Now he's ended it again. He spoke to the lawyer and asked her to hand the money to me (the law firm is right down the block from me) rather than post it out to him so I can hand it over personally and get him to sign the form or whatever it is we both need to sign. Seems an odd thing to do when he could just call into their office and collect it. So now I have his money. They've emailed him to say I have his money. So he knows. He knows he needs to see me because we both need to sign the form Ugh. Why though?! It's no closer to my apartment than it is to the lawyers
preraph Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 It may be on his attorney's advice, especially since it's something you both need to sign. And the attorney may feel that if you're divorcing, you shouldn't be having contact just to minimize something getting complicated.
