Why would he lose interest very quickly?

Yesterday, me and this guy that goes to the same college as me met a few days ago. We were texting a lot and snap chatting almost all day yesterday and he seemed to be interested in me. We made plans to see a movie. Then all of the sudden an hour before we were going to see the movie, he texted me saying that he had to stay extra hours for work and he couldn't make the movies because someone didn't show up and he was going to keep me updated to see how much longer he was going to stay at work for and he never kept me updated so I never got a text from him. So we never got to go see each other yesterday. Then I texted him today if he wanted to hang out and he read the message but didn't respond so he ignored my text. Why would he lose interest that quick?

There's no telling. Just pull back and watch his behavior. This will tell you a lot.

He got propositioned and either went out with his buddies, or some girl wanted to spend the night with him and no guy will pass that up....it is college you know. Most guys are not committed to anything.

I think he is busy and you are not much of a priority at the moment. Dont say anything more unless he reaches out.
