But I truly believe that when an ex returns into your life...even touching the surface...then they should be totally upfront about their intentions. If this person broke up with you and later, 2 months, 3 months, 1 year...they return, then they should simply be clear, because I think we all know that dangling a person on a string with cryptic thoughts is a heartwrenching experience. It is inevitable that they 'come back' - but what you must realise is that you can be accomodating to a point... Life is short enough without being taunted.

But you know, when a Juliet comes back, she is always insecure about the welcome she will receive. It's hard enough for them to come back at all, let alone to signal intentions in advance. In any case, it's usually clear. If they talk about how their romantic life hasn't worked out, how often they think of you and the times you were together, etc and get all tender and emotional, it's pretty obvious what they want.
