I have horses and dogs, I ususally have to stay at mine. It is never an issue, most guys want to come to my place anyway for some reason!

And whoever said a person wouldn't enjoy the menagerie - I have 4 dogs, 4 horses...no guys have ever complained or seemed bothered :)

See if theres a doggie daycare nearby that also does boarding. If your puppy is up to date on shots and stuff it's a good way to socialize her and a good one will work with you on training and separation anxiety if she has any.

Also, does she cry or bark at night? I see that being the biggest problem for someone you're dating.

She doesn't cry or bark at night, she sleeps and plays with the cats, but she does check in on me every now and then. I don't think she would do well boarding if she had to be separated from the cats as they all sleep together in the smallest dog bed. They have a big one but apparently still want to sleep in the one they have all outgrown. It's very cute actually.

I think given everyone's experiences I'm just going to ask the next guy to stay at mine when that point rolls around. Seems much less controversial than I anticipated, which is lovely!

I had an older dog; not a puppy but when I used to have her and stay with my ex I just brought over the dog. A few walks were added into our routine when I stayed over.

I've been dating my new guy since October and I have an 11 year old dog. It does make staying over at his place a bit more difficult but I brought my dog with me this passed Saturday and it was fine!

My dog is crated when I am not home though as he has separation anxiety, and my boyfriend likes dogs. So it really depends on the situation and if he is a dog person, if he is allowed dogs at his place etc...

Also you shouldn't have had to justify yourself to anyone giving their two cents about the dog being on prozac. You can't get it without a vet prescribing it and clearly it's under vet supervision so if it's helping the dog that's the best thing :)

]Well I want cats and a dog' date=' so any guy who doesn't like them isn't the right guy for me anyway... I don't think that's really a bit issue, itts just more self selecting. I also have a picture of the 3 of them on my profile so it's not like a surprise I spring on them[/b'].

Yup.. I don't have kids, but I have to accept other peoples kids if I want to have any type of dating life at my age where everyone has kids. So, they can accept the fact that I have animals. LOL

However, I don't have any pets with issues of any sort. They are fine alone, or with me.
