Viking Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 So I've been trying the online dating thing, and there are not many good options where I live. Most are early 20s and students and I'm 31 and looking for something most people in their early 20s won't be wanting because they're generally immature and not ready for a relationship. I contacted a girl and we exchanged a few messages and I gave her my number, and when she replied to my message she gave me hers and said I should call her as she prefers that over texts when getting to know someone. So I called her and we talked for about 20 minutes about nothing in particular, but she said she was unable to meet for a few days as she had an allergic reaction to her makeup and evidently it was bad enough that she has been asked if she fell of her horse. So, she said sometime next week, and we'd figure it out. I called the next day to try to hammer down a day and to ask her about her eye and if it's doing better. However, she did not pick up the phone. That was around 9pm so it is understandable, but I'm just wondering if I should have not called the next day and waited a day, or if I'm overreacting and doubting myself just because I'm interested and slightly impatient because she might be a decent one to go out with. Anyway, it's still early in the day and if I don't get a call AT ALL I'm not sure what to do...
Gaeta Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Calling her a second time the following day may have been a bit too eager on your part. I am sure her eye didn't much better the following day. That being said I doubt seeing your name on her phone turned her off to the point of no return. Usually a phone call will confirm our interest in someone or confirm we are not interested. I don't say there is something wrong with you but she probably didn't feel much of a connection over the phone and decided to just pursue with you. You do nothing. You go back online and try to catch another fish.
