I used to be this happy person but now I am spending days trying to heal, birthdays crying, new years waiting for texts... what the heck!!! 3

My career as a nurse will always come second. It really does hurt that I havent found him yet, sometimes after I have a long clinical full of highly dependent patients and running around from room to room, I drive home and cry because I am so frustrated it hasnt happened yet. Its not that I'm not happy on my own, its that I've reached a point in life where I'm so ready to settle down. Being single just feels stagnant now Despite how sad it is for me, I really do believe all my gfs when they say, 'It'll happen when you least expect it' All my past long-term relationships happened that way. Maybe we just need to let go and allow it to just happen on its own 'There is peace in surrender' 2

I feel like all the pain of dating has taught me so much. I've grown exponentially because of everything thats happened. I really believe I had to go through that pain to get to a place where I'm ready for the real thing. Even after the worst heartbreaks I never gave up hope that it would happen...I never will. I'm glad you still have hope too. I remember your thread about that guy who ghosted you. You've grown so much since then. Pretty amazing. I think a lot of us on here have transformed into better versions of ourselves. Smarter, stronger, wiser. We'll be ready when the right guys come along 2
