Angelina1433 Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Let's see - here are the places I've been hit on: At bars (duh), at work, on the street, in line at a convenience store, over the phone by clients (whom I've never met in person), at the gym, and in my car. Where does it happen the most? At the gym and in bars. Where is it most annoying? In my CAR! Do men think that we'll really pull over and say, "Hey, let's get together!" Um, no. I really get annoyed by random strangers making the kissing sound as I walk by, or passers by trying to pick me up by looking seductively at me in my car. What's with these random strangers being overtly suggestive or "coming on"? Anyone? I find it absolutely foul. Sorry for the rant, this is a huge pet peeve of mine.

Work and friends all know I am taken so they don't bother. Of course you still get the guys online via msn, forums, and the rest who try and pick you up

If you get that construction worker oogle it's just not cool and makes you feel uncomfortable. If you get some guy walking down the street and you make eye contact and he gives you a slight smile (and you're into him too) that's when you hope he stops to say hi.

I got hit on on the plane flying back from Glasgow by an American soldier who is stationed in Germany, which was weird because I have a big honking platinum diamond solitaire on my ring finger on my left hand, now. I've never been hit on on the street. That's not the done thing here, and I really don't spend much time wandering around the streets of the little town I live in. It's too hot down here to go outside for any length of time, unless you're planning to be sweaty. Besides I would get rednecks and street punks, greeeeeat. I don't like getting hit on, unless the guy has serious conversational game. Otherwise I feel mildly bored and slightly irritated. Occassionally amused.

Yes. They will complain about these overbearing men who harass them non-stop but let the attention stop and they will start obsessing about their looks, asking their guy friends if they think their sexy, changing their hair and make-up, wearing sexier clothes, until the attention is directed their way again. I will say, to the girls, that their is a time and a place for attention and not all attention is good or wanted.....
